South Park Primary is a large multicultural school in the London Borough of Redbridge - we have almost 800 pupils on roll!
Our school provides a caring, nurturing and supportive community within which every pupil should feel they have value and can learn to value others. Pupils are encouraged to use their initiative, to work as individuals, in groups and as a team, and to value the strengths and contributions of others.
Following our recent Ofsted inspection we were judged overall as a ‘good’ school with many ‘outstanding’ features. Inspectors commented that “pupils are exceptionally well cared for… personal development is outstanding... behaviour is exemplary… relationships are excellent and there is a high level of racial harmony. By the time they leave the school, they have developed into well-rounded individuals because of their excellent spiritual, moral, social and cultural development.”
We believe that effective education is a partnership between home and school - children make the best progress when home and school work closely together. To promote this aim, staff endeavour to make individual contact with parents in order to encourage an easy yet professional relationship for benefit of the pupils. A key aim of our school is to empower all children to develop towards full membership of the society in which they live and hopefully, through their actions, create a better world.
